Professional Experience
Judson Sutherland is an attorney and business owner with more than 20 years of experience helping clients protect, grow, and strengthen their businesses. He advises small and mid-sized companies, as well as entrepreneurs, on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, private equity transactions, hedge fund formation and investments, technology transfers, strategic alliances, and general business operations.
In addition to his corporate practice, Judson represents buyers and sellers in commercial real estate transactions, developers and owners in residential and commercial construction projects, and landlords and tenants in leasing matters. He also has significant experience in structuring partnerships and other investment entities.
Judson serves clients across a diverse range of industries, including consumer products, entertainment, hospitality and restaurants, financial services, nonprofit organizations, real estate, retail, and technology. As the owner of several family-focused hospitality businesses, he brings a practical, firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities business owners face every day.
Personal Story
Judson describes a pivotal moment in his life when he committed himself to living according to his Christian faith, which continues to guide his devotion to family, service, and community. He finds his greatest joy in his wife, his two daughters, and the relationships that shape his life. Judson serves on several corporate boards and is deeply committed to community service. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, including camping and hiking—particularly in Big Bend.
