Professional Experience
Joe Stallone practices in the areas of entertainment law, litigation, and general business law, representing a wide range of music and music-business clients, including festivals, venues, promoters, award-winning artists, record labels, recording studios, producers, and managers. He advises clients on all aspects of the music industry, including contracts, business formation and administration, management, trademark and copyright matters, publishing, touring, production, and funding. In addition, Joe represents clients in the motorsports industry and the food & beverage industry, as well as influencers, authors, actors, film production companies, and entrepreneurs across various business matters.
He also maintains a diverse civil litigation practice, representing individuals and businesses in complex state and federal litigation, arbitration, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Stallone has served as Commissioner on the Austin Music Commission, Governor with the Recording Academy of Texas, and professor of Legal Aspects of the Music Industry at the Austin Community College for Music Business.
Personal Story
Joe Stallone places a strong value on faith and family. He is the proud father of four driven children, including a Naval officer, a Marine pilot, a race car driver, and a daughter who enjoys playing and coaching soccer while finishing high school. When he is not working or involved in community service, Joe enjoys waterskiing, boating, mountain biking, and spending time with his family.
Community Engagement and Associations
Joe has long been committed to serving his community through both leadership and volunteerism. He previously served as Vice President of Operations for the Austin Boys & Girls Club and as a board member of Texas Dancehall Preservation.
Today, Joe continues that commitment by advising Sonic Guild, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the creation and performance of new music, and Swan Songs, an organization that fulfills musical last wishes for individuals facing terminal illness.
In 2007, inspired by the decline of music programs in public schools, Joe founded Grounded in Music, a nonprofit organization that provides musical instruments and instruction to underprivileged youth throughout the Austin area. Through the transformative power of music, the organization helps young people build confidence, create opportunities, and find hope.
