Professional Experience
Eddie is a business attorney whose practice focuses on corporate law, financing, mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance, complex contract negotiations, and commercial real estate matters. He regularly advises companies on entity formation, growth and expansion strategies, debt and equity financings, and a wide range of transactional matters which include mergers, acquisitions, stock sales, and asset sales. Eddie also has significant experience in commercial real estate transactions, including land acquisition and disposition, development, leasing, and related financing arrangements.
He practiced for nearly seven years in Fort Worth with Kelly, Hart & Hallman before becoming General Counsel of The Dunlap Company, a regional department store chain operating 82 stores in 19 states, where he ultimately served as Chief Operating Officer. In 2008, he joined Buis & Co., an investment banking firm in Fort Worth, as Managing Director and General Counsel, and also served as General Counsel of NOR Partners, L.P., a private equity fund sponsored by the firm.
In 2013, Eddie joined Go Green Partners, L.P., a start-up venture that developed a wood pellet manufacturing plant in Central Texas exporting their product to the United Kingdom, and in 2014 he co-founded Retail Partners, L.P., a commercial real estate development firm in Fort Worth. Eddie joined Grable Martin PLLC in 2020.

Personal Story
Eddie was born in Lubbock, Texas, and raised in Fort Worth. He attended Trinity Valley School, where he played football, before heading to Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia to study economics. After taking a year off, he returned to Texas to attend the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, earning his J.D. in 1993.
Community Engagement and Associations
Eddie has been actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations. Also, for ten years, he was on the board of directors of Tandy Leather Factory (NASDAQ: TLF), contributing his business and legal insight to the company’s governance and strategic growth.
