Professional Experience
Jason focuses his practice on commercial litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants, including real estate and construction disputes, arbitrations, and numerous bench and jury trials. He has experience in international arbitration, post-judgment collections, and the enforcement and defense of temporary restraining orders, as well as in appeals and bankruptcy-related matters. In addition to his litigation work, Jason assists with business transactions and acquisitions and provides practical general business counseling to his clients.
Personal Story
Jason was raised in Dodge City, Kansas, where he lettered in varsity cross-country and track. He attended the University of Kansas, studying Biology and Psychology, and spent time managing electroencephalography laboratory studies. During this time, he served as a Guardian ad Litem, worked in a state prison providing cognitive behavioral therapy to inmates, and held a role as a Deputy Court Clerk.
He later moved to Houston to attend South Texas College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the International Trade Law Journal and was the lead brief writer for numerous international commercial arbitration competitions, earning Best Statement of Claim and Best Statement of Defense honors. Jason was also a senior advocate and member of the STCL Mock Trial Academy and taught as a mock trial instructor at a Houston school.
Outside of work, Jason and his wife—who has a background in real estate and holds a master’s degree in international business from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom—recently welcomed a daughter into their family. The family enjoys traveling together to explore and experience diverse foods and cultures.
