The Rest of the Story
Jason was raised in Dodge City, Kansas, where he lettered in varsity cross-country and track. Jason graduated from the University of Kansas where he studied Biology and Psychology, with time spent managing electroencephalography laboratory studies. While in Kansas, Jason was a Guardian ad Litem, worked in a state prison providing cognitive behavior therapy to inmates, and a Deputy Court Clerk.
Jason moved to Houston to attend law school at South Texas College of Law. While in law school, Jason was Editor-in-Chief of the International Trade Law Journal, served as lead brief writer for numerous international commercial arbitration competitions, and won Best Statement of Claim and Best Statement of Defense honors. Jason was also a senior advocate and member of the STCL Mock Trial Academy and was a mock trial instructor at a Houston school.
After passing the bar exam, Jason worked for a boutique business litigation firm specializing in international arbitration and real estate disputes. Jason next worked at a Plaintiffs’ law firm, where he gained extensive court room experience serving as lead attorney for hundreds of lawsuits. Jason continued his commitment to quality legal services by building the litigation and business sections for a law firm, which grew into a multi-office law firm. Jason was a shareholder with this firm, in which he first-chaired nearly all trials and managed nearly all litigation for the firm.
Jason’s wife has a background in real estate and a master’s in international business from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Jason and his wife recently welcomed a girl into their family. They love to travel as well as enjoy diverse food and cultures.
