Brief Bio

Lisa’s practice focuses on general corporate and real estate transactions. As a former long-time solo general counsel in the retail fashion industry, she is well versed in a wide range of legal areas and handles complex contract drafting, review and negotiations. Prior to her in-house experience, she focused on commercial retail development, from land acquisition through development, leasing and sale. She continues to serve as outsourced general counsel for clients, along with providing specialty real estate transactional representation for others.

The Rest of the Story

Lisa grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduating from Bishop Kelley, she attended Ole Miss where she majored in Political Science and minored in Russian Studies. She spent her last semester of college living with a family in Moscow and teaching English at the Russian University of People’s Friendship. After graduation she took a year off and bartended in Dallas, Texas. She returned home to attend law school at the University of Tulsa.

She began her law practice in the Corporate and Securities section of a national firm before focusing on real estate with a boutique real estate firm, both in Dallas.  While in Dallas she was active with Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas and fostered over 30 dogs with her own weims by her side. Since then, she has been solo general counsel of two private equity backed companies. Her last position took her to Seattle where her identical twin girls were born. She continued to work remotely and returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma to be near family as she began to raise her girls as a single mom.

Lisa served on the Board of the Directors of the Greenwood Cultural Center supporting the community affected by the Tulsa Race Massacre. Outside of devoting her free time to whatever her girls are into, she enjoys practicing Iyengar Yoga, walking her girls to school and having Louise the Weimaraner as her office mate.
