Professional Experience
Lisa focuses on corporate and real estate transactions, with extensive experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts. Before joining the firm, she served many years as solo general counsel in the retail fashion industry, where she handled a wide range of business and legal matters.
She began her legal career in the Corporate and Securities section of a national firm and then later focused on real estate with a small boutique firm. Earlier in her career, she concentrated on commercial retail development, guiding projects from land acquisition through development, leasing, and sale. She subsequently served as solo general counsel for two private equity-backed companies in Seattle. Today, Lisa continues to serve as outsourced general counsel for select clients while also providing real estate transactional representation.
Personal Story
Lisa grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and after graduating from Bishop Kelley, she headed to Ole Miss, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Russian Studies. During her final semester, she lived with a host family in Moscow and taught English at the Russian University of People’s Friendship. After graduating, she spent a year bartending in Dallas before returning home to attend law school at the University of Tulsa.
Lisa moved to Seattle, where her identical twin daughters were born. She continued working remotely before eventually moving back to Tulsa to be closer to family.
Outside of work, Lisa spends most of her free time keeping up with her daughters’ activities, practicing Iyengar Yoga, walking the girls to school, and enjoying the company of Louise the Weimaraner, who doubles as her favorite office mate.
Community Engagement and Associations
While living in Texas, Lisa volunteered with Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas, fostering more than 30 dogs—always with her own beloved weims by her side. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Greenwood Cultural Center, supporting initiatives that honor and uplift the community impacted by the Tulsa Race Massacre.
